SPECIAL EVENT

Night School a big success!

This summer the CAG launched a program for new collectors and contemporary art enthusiasts. As an introductory contemporary art program that was intentionally accessible and engaging, Night School combined discussions that thematically brought the history of CAG exhibitions to life. Four lectures were hosted by guest instructor Lee Plested followed by hugely popular studio visits with important artists from Vancouver including Steven Shearer, Germaine Koh, Geoffrey Farmer, Elizabeth Zvonar, Stephen Waddell and Liz Magor. Alongside its curriculum, a passport of local events and openings provided an expanded perspective on the Vancouver art scene, and an opportunity to build a greater exposure to and appreciation for art production in the city. Look out for the second edition of Night School in fall 2014!
