A2 Dominion

We have supported A2Dominion during the last three months in the development of a new Asset Management Strategy.

The strategy outlines an innovative and contemporary approach to the future management of the organisation’s property portfolio, which is diversified with a range of housing products and services.  It also focuses on the development of sophisticated performance appraisal tools and techniques to optimise the strategic and financial value of the property assets.

National Home Improvement Council Awards

The National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) host an annual awards ceremony, recognising significant achievement in improving the UK housing stock.

On 17 November 2016, Amicus Horizon were presented with two National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) Awards for their work on their Coastal Space regeneration project, the Home Improvements with Community Benefit Award and the George Plucknett Award.

The George Plucknett Award is awarded for a project which has represented an outstanding level of achievement and most closely fulfils the objectives of the NHIC and is only given out in particular circumstances.

The focus of the Coastal Space regeneration project was to renovate run down, derelict and unoccupied buildings within a deprived area of St Leonards on Sea. for which we were the designers and Contract Administrators.

Hyde Sovereign Swap

Faithorn Farrell Timms was appointed by The Hyde Group to provide a full range of project management, agency and professional valuation services on a swap of 1400 homes with Sovereign Housing Association in Hampshire.

Over the course of 12 months, we supported them through the initial tender process, successfully securing the opportunity, carrying out due diligence on both portfolios, stock condition validation, assisting commercial negotiations and managing the flow of information between project teams and professional advisors.

The transaction was one of the largest of its type in England, and made a significant contribution to The Hyde Group achieving its strategic stock rationalisation objectives of ‘shape shifting’ and concentrating its areas of operation whilst maintaining or growing revenues.

RHP Strategic Growth Consultancy

RHP is a dynamic and forward-thinking medium sized Housing Association which, having successfully acquired a large portfolio marketed by Faithorn Farrell Timms on behalf of another client, engaged us to carry out a thorough review of opportunities in their current and future areas of operation.

Combining market knowledge, client contacts and desktop reviews, we were able to identify, classify and prioritise a range of opportunities within developed and tenanted portfolios across private organisations and Registered Providers.

Southern Housing Group

We are now in the tenth and final year of a cyclical redecoration programme with Southern Housing Group.  This programme highlights their commitment to maintain residents’ homes whilst also striving to improve the neighbourhoods in which they live. For every unit completed, resident surveys are distributed for feedback and for the current programme year to date so far, 597 surveys have been received back with 97% showing a satisfaction score of 8 out of 10 or higher.

Executive Coaching

We are now able to provide Executive Coaching which can bring many tangible and measurable business benefits in providing fresh perspectives on personal challenges, enhanced decision-making skills, greater interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence.

Our Executive Coach has many years’ successful experience at Director level with a major social housing provider and brings an in-depth understanding of what is required to deliver at the highest level in a challenging and demanding environment.

Property Services Transformation Project

We are working with a London-based Registered Provider to evaluate and redesign their property services function. This transformational project has seen us working closely with their management team to identify areas for rationalisation, improvement and enormous cost savings.

We have embedded our teams within their business, to understand the operational challenges and also to get an appreciation of the personality, culture and spirit of the organisation. This insight has allowed us to deliver bespoke outcomes that meet their key business objectives in addition to delivering a change programme that supports their unique characteristics.

Wide Horizons

Four members of Faithorn Farrell Timms entered this year’s Duathlon which involved a 35km cycle ride followed by a 15km run/walk. We raised in excess of £1,000 to go towards the work of the children’s charity, Wide Horizons, which provide life changing adventures for disadvantaged children and young people. Many of the children that utilise their facilities are living in social housing in greater London and are tenants of many of our clients.
