TORONTO – An elderly woman is in hospital after being pulled from an apartment fire without vital signs in Newmarket Monday morning.
York Regional Police say the call came in around 8:30 a.m. at a residential building on 735 Stonehave Avenue near Bayview and Mulock Drive.

Police say the victim in her 70’s was located on a third floor unit and was rushed to hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Police say the Criminal Investigative Bureau and Forensics Identification Unit will be attending the scene.
