JW3 and Limmud partner to bring you unexpected and surprising Jewish wisdom online.

In this 30-minute bite-size series, educators from across the Jewish community will share some of their favourite pieces of Jewish wisdom.

This week's guest is Maayan Zik, an Orthodox Jewish Jamaican-American and a social activist who co-organized the Tahalucha For Social Justice which called on Orthodox/Chabad Jews in Crown Heights to march against police violence in June 2020. Since then, she has co-founded organisations such as Ker a Velt and Kamochah which further her work in social justice and racial equality. She has since been featured in Vogue Magazine, the Washington Post, The Jewish Press, and more. Maayan lives with her husband and four children in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, NY.

Previous guests in this series include JW3 Scholar-in Residence Clive Lawton, Teacher at Yeshivat Eretz Hatzvi Rabbi Alex Israel, Director of National Learning Initiatives at the Hadar Institute Rabbi Avi Strausberg, LSJS Teaching Fellow Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz, Rabbi Jeremy Borovich, and senior scholar for the JDC Rabbi Michael Paley.
