Two Easy DIY masking tape projects | saynotsweetanne.com | #diy #ShapeTape Alright, so I originally only intended to do one craft with the FrogTape’s Shape Tape. But it turned out really well and went really quick so I ended up doing another just because. Let’s start with the mirror Jar.

What You Need

  • Frog Tape® Shape Tape™ in whatever pattern you want (they have Chevrons, Scallops and waves! Frog Tape® Shape Tape™
  • Glass Jar or vase.
  • Mirror paint or silver craft paint.

How To Make It:

  1. Clean your glass well with alcohol to get any finger oils off of it. Then apply your Shape Tape™ wherever you think it looks best. 2. Be sure to mask off any parts of your project that you don’t want painted. Easy DIY Scalloped Mirror Jar | Saynotsweetanne.com | #dit #ShapeTape #decor
  3. Spray or sponge paint the exposed area. I used a neat mirror paint product I had laying around. All Frog Tape® had PaintBlock which is an element that reacts with latex paint to make a good seal and keep paint from leaking under the tape. I’m not sure if it works with the type of paint I used, but I was pleased to see a nice crisp line when I pulled the paint off!
  4. Viola! That’s it. All in all it only took me a minute or two. That’s when I decided I wanted to try another craft with this awesome tape! Easy DIY Scalloped Mirror Jar | Saynotsweetanne.com | #dit #ShapeTape #decor

Overall I loved the Scalloped tape and I can’t wait to think of more things to do with it. The PaintBlock technology seems like a great addition, and even without latex paint I was pleased at the clean lines I was able to get. Oh, and don’t forget to check out @FrogTape on Twitter and Pinterest for tons of ideas! So, what would you do with Chevron, Scallop or Wave tape?
