After suffering abuse and neglect, they now live in foster homes, group homes, and shelters. With no family, they don’t share the anticipation of a Merry Christmas or warm family time together.
These precious children who have already suffered so much move an average of three to four times a year. Any adults they attached to changes, as does their school and friends. Without stability, orphans in our own country close up into a protective shell of depression and anxiety. School performance suffers, and at this time of year, the risk of suicide is high.
