Thanks to a donation from Northwest Health Center, Bentonville police officers will receive a trauma kit.The kits feature life-saving supplies with gauze, a tourniquet and bandages inside. Bentonville's Police Chief Jon Simpson said, in an emergency these trauma tool kits will stop blood loss, potentially saving someone's life, especially when minutes and seconds matter most. "I think it's important that our public safety workers have as many tools as possible to help the community," said Simpson. Once trained, each officer will receive a trauma kit. Northwest Medical Center will present the kits to Chief Simpson at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
