Just noticed that there is no package for the latest version on Ubuntu 14.04(Trusty Tahr) on the official ppa.

First point release of 14.04 (July 24) has been made, posting here for updates. This and wkhtmltopdf packages are holding back upgrade.

hdave: It's not available yet, a "sub-repo" (whatever it's called) has to be made for 'trusty' on the coolwanglu-pdf2htmlex PPA here:

https://launchpad.net/~coolwanglu/+archive/ubuntu/pdf2htmlex

Using these commands

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:coolwanglu/pdf2htmlex
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pdf2htmlex

would help me install pdf2htmlex on the following systems??

ubuntu 12.04
ubuntu 12.10
ubuntu 13.04
ubuntu 13.10 ??

I have just started using it on ubuntu and hence the question.

From a glance, yes, I think it's basically all the common ones out besides Trusty (14.04), the new LTS Ubuntu. Think there's one other on top of those 4.

@djvs Did you have any luck with using this?

pdf2htmlex in Ubuntu 14.04, please add the follwing ppa:

https://launchpad.net/~fontforge/+archive/ubuntu/fontforge
https://launchpad.net/~coolwanglu/+archive/ubuntu/pdf2htmlex

Then
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install pdf2htmlex
sudo apt-get -f install

I'd like to try pdf2htmlEX on Debian (9), but it doesn't work:

~# apt-get install pdf2htmlEX
E: Unable to locate package pdf2htmlEX

~#apt-get install software-properties-common

~#apt-add-repository ppa:coolwanglu/pdf2htmlex
=== THIS PPA IS DEPRECATED!! ===

~#apt-add-repository ppa:https://launchpad.net/~fontforge/+archive/ubuntu/fontforge
…
softwareproperties.shortcuts.ShortcutException: Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:~https/ubuntu/ppa'.
ERROR: '~https' user or team does not exist.
Error: 'ppa:https://launchpad.net/~fontforge/+archive/ubuntu/fontforge' invalid

Thank you.
