Beat with a Miguel Sample needs feedback

Hey! I just want some feedback. With this beat, I played out the samples and drumson my MPD32 which I don't usually do and I quantized very minimally. Could you guys tell me what you think?

Not bad my friend - the sample is really killer but I feel like the kicks are a bit disconcerting. It's sooo hard to not quantize kicks and keep them really groovy without a lot of practice (I don't claim to be good at it, lol).

Some nice synths and samples in here - the vocal chopping was my favorite bit. Keep at it mate - my suggestion would be to check out oliver nelson's soundcloud and see his miguel remix. It's good for inspiration.

Haha thanks for the input. I feel what you're saying about the kicks. These are slightly quantized. I really didn't do too much tho, as you can tell lol. It is hard. I'm just going to keep work with that.

Also, nice entry on the Chromeo contest! I was going to enter that, but I wasn't really feeling the track too much. Defintely going to drop a vote!
