The Miami Heat's point guard woes were exposed in their 4-1 Finals loss to the San Antonio Spurs earlier this month.

Starter Mario Chalmers was so bad Miami was nearly playing 4-on-6 whenever he was on the floor because he helped the Spurs more than his own team, underperforming in nearly every major statistical category and reserve Norris Cole simply isn't a starter.

With superstar four-time LeBron James opting out of his contract to test the free agency waters, it's an area the Heat will have to address this offseason if they have hopes of re-signing the four-time MVP.

Former Connecticut standout Shabazz Napier could be the answer.

Napier averaged 18 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists as a senior to lead the the Huskies to the national title.

James is a huge fan but the Heat, who hold the 26th overall pick in Thursday night's NBA Draft, may not be able to secure the services of the Roxbury, Mass. native, according to ESPN Draft Expert Chad Ford.

"Teams as high as the Orlando Magic at No. 12, the Atlanta Hawks at No. 15, the Chicago Bulls at No. 16 and the Boston Celtics at No. 17 are all seriously considering drafting Napier, according to various team sources. And it's unlikely he slides past the Toronto Raptors at No. 21.", writes Ford.
