MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Auburn has landed its 17th member of the 2015 recruiting class.

Three-star tight end prospect Jalen Harris announced his commitment to the Tigers Tuesday night during a ceremony at Montgomery's St. James School. His other finalists were Alabama, LSU, Miami and Vanderbilt.

Harris, who is coached by former Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen, picked up his Auburn offer June 14. The 6-foot-4, 238-pounder has been to the Plains multiple times and has said he's familiar with the offense.

Harris is the second player to commit to Auburn today, as offensive lineman Tyler Carr joined the class this morning.

Harris is rated as a three-star prospect and is ranked as the nation's No. 26 tight end prospect in the 247Sports Composite. Check out his highlights at Hudl and stay tuned to AL.com for more coverage of Harris' decision.
