Purchase options and add-ons
Get Ready For the Future of Leadership: See beyond the "Triple Bottom Line" to 7 different perspectives on ethical responsibility that are all important. Top 100 Thought Leader in Trust Linda Fisher Thornton describes 7 dimensions of "ethical responsibility" that together give us the whole picture of ethical leadership in a global society. The holistic 7 Lenses framework cuts through the complexity and disagreements about what ethics means and gives you a powerful framework for ethical decision-making and action.
Learning about all 7 Lenses in a cohesive framework gets us away from a vague, theoretical approach to ethics and gives us clear insights that we can apply to our very real ethical challenges. With a Foreword by Stephen M. R. Covey, this book brings 7 different perspectives on ethical leadership to life, and provides 14 Guiding Principles that help us honor them all in daily leadership.
The 7 Lenses of Ethical Leadership are:
Lens 1 - Profit (What's in it for us?)
Lens 2 - Law (Whatdo laws and regulations require?)
Lens 3 - Character (What demonstrates moral awareness & competence?)
Lens 4 - People (What is the impact on the well-being of people?)
Lens 5 - Communities (How will we improve the communities we serve?)
Lens 6 - Planet (How will we protect life, nature and ecosystems?)
Lens 7 - Greater Good (How will we make life better for future generations?)
Written for leaders who want to "do the right thing," the examples, graphics, cases and questions in this book provide a framework for deeply engaging constituents and building trust for the long term. Give your leaders the insight they need to make ethical choices. Make this book required reading in your ethics, corporate social responsibility and leadership programs.

Review
Thank you, Linda! It's about time we got past the simplistic rule-based do's and dont's approach to ethics that ties us in can't-win knots. 7 Lenses offers just the type of principle-based ethics leaders can use to take responsibility for the greatest number of wins across diverse contexts. ----Christopher Avery, Founder and President, Partnerwerks, Inc.

Lisa Fisher Thornton has tapped into a potential river of flowing water from a well of ethical behavior that I believe almost everyone thirsts for in their personal and professional lives. It is an easy to read and understand premise and set of behaviors that I think most of us struggle to balance in our leadership walk daily. Pressures, pushing us to make decisions we might not otherwise make, are easily identified using the 14 daily principles that Lisa and defined. Your challenge is to balance the decision making process using the 7 lenses to form a more holistic decision and set of values that guide and ground your decision making ability.
Run, don't walk to buy this valuable resource and then join the movement to change the definition of "IS" when defining ethical leadership.
