Police are investigating a report of a sudden death on an aircraft.
The deceased has been identified as Moonilal Manie, 68.
Police were told that at about 9 am, Manie was on a flight from John F Kennedy Airport to Piarco, when he went to the lavatory.
However, when he did not return, relatives went to check on him and realised he was unresponsive.
A doctor who was on board the flight at the time attempted to render assistance, but Manie was pronounced dead at 10:07am.
Police were notified and officers from the Piarco Police Station led by Sgt Hosten responded.
When the flight landed, officials took relevant information and ordered a post-mortem to take place.
It was reported that there was no suspicion of foul play or marks of violence about the body regarding the death of the passenger.
Police were also told he suffered from multiple comorbidities.
