INNOVATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE STORE THAT FACES NEW CHALLENGES

More than 14.000m2 of automated store powered by renewable energy

Last year we presented our new machines that currently allow us to face our big demand for personalised products and for ecological solutions that little by little are replacing the use of plastic in shops.

Our priority is always to keep up to date and attentive to the latest market tendencies, in order to be able to offer our clients what helps them most to stay competitive. That’s why we invest every year, not only in designing innovative products, but also in improving and updating the departments of our company that need more attention.

Our bet for 2018: innovation and sustainability

This year, we are emphasising our position as leading manufacturer of sustainable and ecological disposable products (see our range FEEL GREEN and all the ECOLABEL products).

On the other hand, an issue that we wanted to solve was the optimization of the storage and orders preparation areas. So we have decided to build two automated stores equipped with the latest Japanese Daifuku’s technology, specific for the logistics of high services in our headquarters at Ordis. To be coherent with the criteria of sustainability and ecology, the investment would not be complete if we didn’t consider our consumption of energy and it’s impact in the environment. So an significant part of our budget of this big project is destined to the installation of solar panels that will power our machinery with 100 % renewable energy. These machines are in fact already energetically very efficient.

  • 5 corridors of 140m with 20 lines of shelves of 9 levels and 3m wide.
  • 8 lines for preparing orders with a total of 480 collection box points.
  • 5 high speed trans-elevators, 24m high.
  • Automatic vehicle system transferors «STV» for optimal orders preparation.
  • Automatic system for classifying orders.
  • 30 expedition areas, 12 of which with immediate loading wharfs.

Complex conveyor belt circuits collect products from their place and gather them in their assigned picking-up area where an employee prepares the order.

All of this will be added to 35.000m of current store and will lodge almost 23.000 more palets of finished product.

To grow and to innovate without polluting

With this investment we expect:

  • To extend our aptitude of storage that guarantees immediate supplying to our clients, whatever the demanded volume.
  • To minimize the preparation time of orders

Since we are aware that every action influences our environment, our structural growth supposes a minimal impact on energy consumption.
