Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s Tribeca penthouse sells for $10.7M

The Goop founder’s three-bedroom pad went into contract at $9.95 million

UPDATE 6/26/17: Gwyneth Paltrow might not have got what she originally asked for her Tribeca pad, but she sure did get more than the most recent asking price. The Observer has learned that the sale closed for $10.7 million, which is a good amount more than the $9.95 million it was asking. The buyer is unknown, and can only be identified as “Orchard House, LLC,” according to property records.

It looks like the price was finally right for Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tribeca apartment: Mansion Global reports that the Goop head honcho finally has a buyer for her penthouse, which was re-listed last month for just about $10 million.

The apartment first hit the market about a year ago, and was asking quite a bit more—$14.25 million, to be exact—and got a price chop and a new brokerage before finding a buyer. But considering the fact that it was basically customized to Paltorw’s family’s tastes, it’s not too surprising that it ended up selling for a discount.

Paltrow and her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, purchased the apartment for $5.1 million in 2007, per city records. (They split—sorry, “consciously uncoupled”—in 2014.) Interior designers-to-the-stars Roman & Williams gave the place a facelift, transforming the loft into an all-white haven with a drool-worthy kitchen, a “sprawling, yet serenely intimate” master bedroom, and a huge great room with a sculptural fireplace, among other noteworthy features.

No word, though, if the “fuzzy nap zones” and sofa swing that was “wrought from an antique Indian door” come with the place, though.
