Gunman robs Wynnefield Heights tavern

WYNNEFIELD HEIGHTS (WPVI) -- A Wynnefield Heights tavern was robbed by a lone gunman Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9:45 a.m. at The Five Points at Monument and Ford roads.

Police say a cleaning employee was taking out the trash when he was confronted by a masked gunman.

The worker was forced back inside and locked in the basement, but managed to call for help.

The suspect stole $300 in cash and the security system.

Police are investigating.
