Sentencing in robbery try using power drill

WINSLOW - A man who brandished a power drill during a failed attempt to rob a bank is now headed to state prison.

Camden County prosecutors say Raymond McNeil received a 20-year sentence on Friday. The 42-year-old Sicklerville man will have to serve at least 17 years before he becomes eligible for parole.

McNeil was convicted on armed robbery and weapons charges stemming from the November 2014 robbery at a Wells Fargo bank branch in Winslow.

Man slain days after release from custody

Prosecutors say McNeil demanded money while brandishing a power drill at a bank teller. But he soon fled the bank on foot without getting any cash.

He was later found in an abandoned house across the street from the bank.
