Who Will Be the Soccer Team to Beat?

As part of the extra-curricular activities offered at Rehoboth, in Term 2 we have an after school soccer competition involving the three Rehoboth Houses and a team from Regent College. Games are played at Thomas Moore Park, across the road from the Wilson Campus.

The great things about the competition is that students who have never played before can play alongside more experienced soccer players. It gives them the opportunity to have a go and be part of a team. It is great to see all our students have fun and use their gifts to the glory of God!

Over the last number of years, Wycliffe has been the dominant force in soccer at our Primary Schools. However, this year it looks like Tyndale will be the team to beat. With Daniel Dalais leading the defence, Owen Kik in the midfield, and Kabelo Tshuma and Ivan Nagel up front, it is a dangerous combination. The rest of the team provides equal support and firepower.

Here are some photos from a recent game between Tyndale and Regent College. The final score was 3-0. Thanks to parents and teachers who have supported and cheered on the students. Also, thanks go to Mr Butson for organising, and Nikita Strickling, a Year 10 student, for refereeing each game.

The Grand Final is on Friday 22 June – may the best team win!
