আমি বললাম,"সবকিছুতেই আপনি বড় হুজুরের দোহাই দেন কেন ? এত হাঁস কারা খায়,সেটাও কি বড় হুজুর ছাড়া আপনি বলতে পারেন না ?"
বদর আলি বলল,"এটা দোহাই না,বরং আনুগত্য।আর এই যুগে দোহাই দেয়াটাও খরচের ব্যাপার।যার নামে দোহাই দিবা,সে অথবা ওর প্রতিনিধি দোহাইয়ের হাদিয়াটা চেয়ে বলবে,'আমার হাদিয়া কই?' এবং এত হাঁস কারা খায়,সেটা বললে তো তুমি জেনেই ফেলবা,আমাদের ঘাঁটিতে কারা আছে।তাই এটা অত্যন্ত গোপনীয় বিষয়।"
- আপনি বড় হুজুরের প্রতি যতটুকু অনুগত ততটুকু অনুগত যদি আপনার জিওসির প্রতি থাকতেন ,তবে এখন হয়তো মেজর জেনারেল থাকতেন।
আমার এই কথা শোনে বদর আলি কিছুটা গম্ভীরভাবে বলল,"তুমি কি আমার সঙ্গে ইয়ার্কি করছো ?"
আমিও সাবলীলভাবে বললাম,"এটা ইয়ার্কি না,বরং বাস্তবতা।"
- তোমার কথা ঠিক আছে।কিন্তু আমরা ক্ষমতা দখল করার পর আমি হব প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রী।তখন আমার আঙ্গুলের ইশারায় সেনাপ্রধান আর জেনারেলরা উঠবে আর বসবে।
এই কথা শোনে ডালিম খান বলল,"আর আমি হব আইনমন্ত্রী।"
এমন সময় ডালিম খানকে টিক্কা খান চিৎকার করে বলল,"এ্যাটাক!"
কিন্তু ডালিম খান কিছুই না করে মুচকি মুচকি হাসতে লাগলো।
এটা দেখে ডালিম খানকে টিক্কা খান বলল,"তুমি আমাকে কথা দিয়েছ,বদর আলিকে হত্যা করে তুমি এই ঘাঁটির সেকেন্ড ইন কমান্ড হবা। কিন্তু এখন এভাবে দাঁড়িয়ে আছো কেন?"
টিক্বা খানের এই কথা শোনে বদর আলি দুই চোখ বড় বড় করে ডালিম খানের দিকে তাকালো।ডালিম খান তখনো মুচকি মুচকি হাসতে লাগলো।এটা দেখে ডালিম খানকে বদর আলি ধমক দিয়ে বলল,"ডালিম,এসব কী শোনছি ?"
ডালিম খান তখনো মুচকি হেসে বলল,"আজ সারা দিন আমাকে টিক্কা ভাই বুঝিয়েছে,'তুমি একজন উকিল।যোগ্যতার বিচারে বদর আলির চেয়ে তুমি উপযুক্ত এই ঘাঁটির সেকেন্ড ইন কমান্ড হওয়ার জন্য। কিন্তু বদর আলি থাকতে তুমি কখনো সেটা হতে পারবানা।তাই সেটা হতে হলে বদর আলিকে তুমি অবশ্যই হত্যা করবা।'আমি তখন টিক্কা খানকে বললাম,'আমি অবশ্যই বদর আলিকে হত্যা করব।' তখন টিক্কা খান বলল,'তুমি আমাকে কথা দাও।' আমি তখন বললাম,'কথা দিলাম।' মূলত আমি এটা করেছি টিক্কা খানকে ধরিয়ে দেয়ার জন্য।"
এই কথা শোনে বদর আলি ঘুরে টিক্কা খানের দিকে ফিরল।বদর আলি যেমন লম্বা, তেমনি মোটা।দেখতে ছোট খাটো একটা হাতির মতো। এবার বদর আলি বাঁদরের মতো লাফিয়ে লাফিয়ে টিক্কা খানকে থাপড়াতে লাগল। এটা দেখে মনে হলো, বদর আলির পায়ের নিচে মৃদু ভূমিকম্প শুরু হয়েছে।সাত আটটা থাপ্পড় দিয়ে বদর আলি থামলো।ততক্ষণে টিক্কা খানের নাক, কান আর মুখ দিয়ে রক্ত বের হতে লাগল।
বদর আলি হাঁপাতে হাঁপাতে বলল,"ইসলামি রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য আমরা কাজ করছি।আর টিক্কা খান আমাদের মধ্যে বিভেদ তৈরি করার ষড়যন্ত্র করেছে।তাই তাকে এই শাস্তি দিলাম।"
একবাল পাঠান বলল,"আপনি বললে টিক্কাকে গুলি করে মেরে যমুনা নদীতে ভাসিয়ে দেব।"
বদর আলি বলল,"না। ওর জন্য এটুকুই যথেষ্ট।"
এরপর টিক্কাকে আমরা ধরাধরি করে ঘরে নিয়ে গেলাম।ঘরের ভিতর ঘাঁটির ডাক্তার প্রথমে এ্যান্টিসেপ্টিক দিয়ে রক্ত পরিষ্কার করল।এরপর একটা ছোট কৌটা বের করে এর থেকে একটু মলম আঙ্গুলে নিয়ে টিক্কা খানের নাক, কান আর গালে মালিশ করল।আমাদেরকে ডাক্তার বলল,"এটা মরফিন দিয়ে তৈরি করা মলম।অল্প সময়েই ব্যাথা কমবে।"
মূলত ঘটলও তাই।কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই টিক্কা খানের ব্যাথা কমল।তখন ডাক্তার বাইরে চলে গেল।
টিক্কা খানকে আমি বললাম,"ডালিম খানকে আপনি এভাবে খেপিয়ে তোলার চেষ্টা করলেন কেন ?"
টিক্কা খান বলল,"জঙ্গিদের মধ্যে শত্রুতা তৈরি করে এই ঘাঁটিটা দখল করে নিতে চেয়েছিলাম।"
আমি বললাম,"আপনারা তাবলিগ করেন কি মানুষের মধ্যে শত্রুতা তৈরি করার জন্য?"
এই কথা শোনে লালু চৌধুরী বলল,"না।আমরা মানুষের মধ্যে শত্রুতা তৈরির জন্য তাবলিগ করিনা।এটা হচ্ছে যার যার স্বভাবের ব্যাপার।নিজের স্বভাবের পরিবর্তন করতে না পারলে সেটা দূর হয়না। যার স্বভাব মানুষের গিবত গাওয়া ,সে চল্লিশ বছর তাবলিগ করলেও মানুষের গিবত গাইবে। যার স্বভাব চোগলখোরী করা, সে পঞ্চাশ বছর তাবলিগ করলেও চোগলখোরী করবে।এটা তাবলিগের দোষ না, ব্যক্তির নিজের দোষ।"
টিক্কা খানকে আমি বললাম,"এই ঘাঁটি দখল করার আপনার দরকার কী?"
টিক্কা খান বলল,"এই ঘাঁটির মতো সুযোগ - সুবিধা শহরেও নাই।তাই মনে করেছিলাম,বুদ্ধি খাটিয়ে এই ঘাঁটিটা দখল করে নিই।"
আমি বললাম,"আর এখন বদর আলির থাপ্পড় খেয়ে আপনার বুদ্ধি নাক , কান আর মুখ দিয়ে বের হয়েছে।"
টিক্কা খান বলল,"আজ আমার শিক্ষা হয়েছে, সবক্ষেত্রে বুদ্ধি খাটাতে চাওয়া বিপজ্জনক।তবে আজ আমার এই দশা হয়েছে ডালিম খানের বিশ্বাসঘাতকতার কারণে।তুমি এক কাজ করবা।ডালিম খান কেন আমার সঙ্গে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করেছে,সেটা তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করে এসে আমাকে বলবা।"
