Ainsley Simons has decided not to spen Valentine's Day alone. Her intended date- a date ordered through Fantasy Inc. a date to top all others, a date to make all her late night fantasies a reality.
Marcus Roarke is the CEO of Platinum Pleasures and it called upon to deliver a package one evening as a favour. Interestingly enough he shows up at Ainsley's place, a half dressed Ainsley answers the door, and proceeds to seduce him. Not that he puts up any effort. He is more than happy to go along for the ride, and what a ride it turns out to be. Ainsley desire for a hot night of passion is met dead on and then some.
The attraction between the two of them is instant and combustable. They experiment with some light bondage, he asserts some dominant control and they have romp after romp all through the night. She is enjoying her fantasy to the fullest. Until she realizes that he is not who she thought. Oops.
Unable to deny their attraction for one another they need to decide if they are relationship material. There is an age difference, he is a widower and she has some commitment issues. But oh my, they are hot between the sheets as they delve deeper into bondage and experiment with some spanking.
This story may be a quick read but it does certainly pack a good punch in those pages. It is able to have an awesome beginning that makes us laugh and also blush. It builds these characters up and makes us really attatched to them. I was rooting for a happy ending in between all the blushing. Those sex scenes were dynamite. I would rate this story a 5/5.

Platinum Pleasures is an erotic romance novella with some billionaire and cougar action - albeit accidental! This tells the story of Ainsley Simmons, a woman in her forties who's feeling humiliated by a rough breakup, especially since the man in question is also trying to take away her only asset - her lovely penthouse apartment.
In an attempt to cheer herself up on Valentine's Day, she spends what little money she has left on hiring a fantasy lover - a gorgeous young man who's paid to fulfil her sexiest wishes. And when Mr R turns up on her doorstep, she's delighted. He's young, gorgeous and spectacular in bed. However, it transpires that there's been a mistake somewhere along the line, and Mr R isn't who Ainsley thinks he is. Embarrassed, she ends their encounter, but it seems Mr R was as happy with their time together as she was, and in spite of the case of mistaken identity, would like to repeat the experience...
I really enjoyed this quick read. The writing was excellent, the characters were incredibly likeable, the rapport and chemistry between them was great, and the sex was super hot. The only downside for me was that it ended too soon - I would definitely have liked to see what happened for these characters next. Perhaps a sequel, Ms Deveaux?

What a great quick read this is. The ideal quickie before bed.
It's a really good storyline between an older woman and a younger rich man. A case of mistaken identity has these two spending the night together- and not over a cup of coffee either :)

Platinum Pleasure is a fun and steamy short read and is the first book I’ve read from Kate Deveaux. And I can tell you it won’t be my last~
This story stars Ainsley who’s in her forties with a successful career but is alone on Valentines day after her ex-boyfriend left her for a much younger woman some weeks prior. In her loneliness she decides to take advantage of the assistance her friend slipped her a week prior in the form of a card, Fantasy Inc., in which they will send you a fantasy lover who’ll provide you sexual pleasures of your dreams! So, kind of on a whim she took the offer and started checking off the list to create her lover for one night. And by chance she decided to pick a much younger lover, maybe as a way to get back at her ex for choosing a much younger lady? But she wants someone to dominate her and give her the release she craves. But there’s one catch, she didn’t expect the very young and sexy gentleman at her door to be a case of mistaken identity.
Marcus, a young entrepreneur is on his way home to enjoy a lonely Valentine’s Day decides at the last minute to take on a delivery for his assistant. Having lost the love of his life years prior he didn’t think to ever find another to take her place until the occupant of the delivery opened her door showing him all her glory in sheer lace! Amused and in total shock he lets the sexy lady do her damage on him.
Not wanting to reveal their identity for it’s only one night of flame gave each other aliases. Mrs. R and Mr. R. After some really steamy scenes she finds out that the young man she’s been playing with was not her fantasy lover. Horrified and absolutely stupefied, she tried her best to not think about it. And this was where all the fun came in! Trying to explain what just happened.
But Marcus had given her something that she has never been given…. Being older and not getting any younger she feels beat out by the much younger and prettier woman and having her ex-boyfriend leave her for a younger woman just poked at her self-esteem about her looks even more. But being with Marcus was different. He made her feel beautiful in her own skin and even though their “acquaintance” had been short they had so much in common. Both having lost something, they connected and fulfilled what they other needed, through companionship and just someone to be there to listen to and talk with.
Marcus feeling this unsuspecting relationship grow begins to change how he saw his life and began showing how life could get better if he can just get Ainsley to believe him.
Awww~ This story really made me smile and giddy all over. I find that short stories like this does that to me a lot. They’re just so quick and to the point that I can’t help but just love it! Although I would have loved for it to be longer it had everything that makes it a great story from background information to development of characters throughout the story.
This is one short story folks should really try if they want something quick, hot, and steamy, and it comes with a full story to tell!!!
I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on Kate’s works! So now it’s time to fix that problem~ :D

When a friend suggests she treats herself to an elite male escort service to indulge in her most intimate desires, she decides that she’s worth it, and can forget about how crappy a holiday Valentines Day really is.
Marcus is the founder and CEO of Platinum Pleasures, an upscale travel agency that puts together the most extravagant travel accommodations you can possibly imagine. They cater to the ultra rich, from private planes, deserted islands, to the best tickets in the house, there’s nothing that can’t be bought via Platinum Pleasures. Marcus is a widower, having lost his wife a couple of years previously. When his assistant asks him to hand deliver some tickets to a client on the way home, he thinks nothing of it, considering Valentines Day has become meaningless to him as well. So when he knocks on the door and the scantily clad Ainsley opens the door with a look in her eye that she’s willing to devour Marcus on the spot, Marcus basks in his good fortune, and makes the most of it.
Ainsley is expecting her escort to show up at her door, knowing nothing about the surprise that her aunt has sent her for the holiday, a luxury vacation to Monaco. So when Marcus shows up at her doorstep, she think he’s the main entrée of her order and immediately sets to work seducing the young hottie. It isn’t until have several rounds of hot sex that she gets a phone call from the agency that there has been a mix-up and her date wouldn’t be showing up until the following day that she realizes there’s been a case of mistaken identity. What happens next is funny, touching, sexy, and endearing; a story of finding love where and with whom you least expect it.
Platinum Pleasures was a fun, quick read. It is a short story and it was sizzling, but I honestly just felt like there could be “more” there. I loved the characters of both Marcus and Ainsley and felt like there was still so much more of their story left to tell. The ending was a little predictable, but it was a happy ending that for an older woman like Ainsley, I couldn’t help but smile, knowing that sometimes the “well-seasoned” of us win. I liked that Ainsley had some typical hang ups about her body considering the age difference between her and Marcus, however it didn’t stop her from taking advantage of her time with Marcus and getting what she needed both physically and emotionally ut of the process.
Platinum Pleasures was a solid four-star read. Again, I loved the story, it was a lot of fun, but I really do feel that there is more to tell and I’d love to know how things turned out for Marcus and Ainsley!

PLATINUM PLEASURES is a quick and enjoyable read. For me it was the first book I’ve read written by Kate Deveaux. This story shows how mistaken identity can turn into something you would never have expected.
Ainsley is in her mid-forties and her longtime boyfriend recently walked out on her to marry a much younger woman. Now she struggles with how to go on and feels like she is no longer attractive and desirable. To make things worse, it is Valentine’s Day and she is all alone. Deciding to take a leap of faith and live a little, even if it is for one night only, she decides to hire a male escort – preferably in his twenties and well-built – to fulfill all her sexual fantasies…
Marcus is the CEO of a successfully running company, being only twenty-eight he has it all – well, except for love. He is seen with a different woman every other day, not ready to commit to any woman yet after the death of his wife a few years ago. Valentine’s Day for him is a constant reminder of what he had lost. Doing his administrative a favor, he brings a last minute delivery to its addressee, who is anxiously awaiting it… or him?
Hiding behind aliases, they both enjoy a night full of hot and steamy sex with no restrictions and no strings attached, no expectations, just to fulfill their fantasies.
I relished the story line – taking chances, live the moment and the fact that middle-aged women actually can find happiness with a much younger man.
As this is a novella there was not much space for background, but Kate Deveaux manages just to put the right amount into it so the characters are easy to like and to connect with. She also sets a timeframe that makes the story believable.

Taking the advice of a friend and to make herself feel better for just one night, she’s hired a male escort to fulfill all her sexual fantasies. It just so happens she wants him to be a bit younger.
As a young entrepreneur, Marcus Roarke has it all except love. He’s built an empire with Platinum Pleasures and fulfilling once in a lifetime opportunities to the very wealthy. The characters are titillating, both with their fair share of sorrow which makes you root for this May-December romance wanting the happy ending.
On a side note, I could see the easily form into a series. I don’t believe it’s the author’s intent but that would be a fun ride.

I think Kate Deveaux handles this wonderfully. She doesn’t make the reader wait and wait until frustration sets in nor does she make it happen so quickly making the story unrealistic. Holy batcave robinson and this is a Mrs. robinson story yay. A great way to flitter away at the beach or when raining when you want to get out of the day and read a fun sensual book.
Ainsley has been taken to the cleaners by her ex in more ways than one. He takes her savings, her pride and her self esteem while he walks away with his young thing on his arm. Meanwhile Ainsley struggles to find herself again. To help she hires a fantasy or so she thinks. A mistaken identity turns into a wonderful sensual intoxicating time for both Ainsley and us the readers. Marcus is a millionaire in pain from losing his wife. thinking he is just dropping off travel tickets he gets so much more including a chance to have a relationship again. But danger will robinson, Mrs R as she wishes to be called is skittish and he needs to get her to see him as a chance and to get her to trust him. After the night they spent together I can't see how she can't not want a nice relationship with him but Ainsley is still feeling low on herself. Marcus though begins to change this and that is wonderful to see.
Marc is great and patient. He goes to her door to convince her to give him a chance and boy do I like that ending. A fun sensual read that will have you smiling all the way through as these two help each other heal and move on in each others arms and life.

WOW HOT, HOT I just finish reading this book, and I love it, I love the characters, and how the book turn out to be, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
The story begging with Ainsley, she is seating in front of her computer, looking through the website that her friend recommend, for she wont have to spend Valentines day alone, after she hire a fantasy lover online, she start to get ready she know that she wants a lover younger than her, on the other end Marcus is a CEO and a widow, when he was waiting for the elevator, his secretary stop him to ask him for a favor, he ask what she told him it was to deliver a package, for one of the clients he agree to do it, when he show up to the address and when up to the pen house, after ringing the bell, Ainsley was nervous when she when to open the door their was no one, after few minutes later the bell rang again, this time when she open the door, it was not what she was expecting, when she saw the Sexy hot hunk of Marcus, would he go for it or will he play alone with it.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, the sex scene are hot, and the way that Ainsley and Marcus are with each other love it. Author Kate Deveaux THANK YOU for introducing me to this amazing characters and this awesome book love it.

The story begging with Ainsley, she is seating in front of her computer, looking through the website that her friend recommend, for she wont have to spend Valentines day alone, after she hire a fantasy lover online, she start to get ready she know that she wants a lover younger than her, on the other end Marcus is a CEO and a widow, when he was waiting for the elevator, his secretary stop him to ask him for a favor, he ask what she told him it was to deliver a package, for one of the clients he agree to do it, when he show up to the address and when up to the pen house, after ringing the bell, Ainsley was nervous when she when to open the door their was no one, after few minutes later the bell rang again, this time when she open the door, it was not what she was expecting, when she saw the Sexy hot hunk of Marcus, would he go for it or will he play alone with it.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, the sex scene are hot, and the way that Ainsley and Marcus are with each other love it. Author Kate Deveaux THANK YOU for introducing me to this amazing characters and this awesome book love it.

Platinum Pleasures was my first introduction to Kate Deveaux’s work. It is a short story about a case of mistaken identity. This is the story of Ainsley and Marcus. Ainsley is a woman who has been left by her long time lover and no longer feels like she is attractive. She has decided to order herself a special treat this Valentine’s Day. Marcus is a young CEO and widow who does not want to be reminded that it is Valentine’s Day. However, when he is asked to make a special last minute delivery this will turn out to be the most interesting Valentine’s that either of them has ever had.
I enjoyed the idea that this story presented, not all stories have to have a young woman as the lead. It was refreshing to see a slightly older woman finding love and happiness with a younger man. The characters in this story were very easy to connect with, however I would have enjoyed a little more back-story on both of them to get to know them a little better. This is one of the few books that I have read lately that there really was not any type of conflict in the story. I have to say that this was definitely a different type of read for me. I would give this book 4 stars and look forward to reading more from Kate Deveaux.

This book is a short, quick read. Once you start the journey you don’t want to stop until it is done.

This was a really quick, steamy read! Kate always writes great characters and makes them believeable. I love reading this one, and to be truthful it made me laugh at a few points because of what was happening, knowing that it wasn't what it seemed. I really loved that Marcus was all for helping Ainsley through what was a difficult evening and en evening that turned very pleasurable for the both of them. HUGE misunderstanding, but one that definitely made Ainsley a focus for Marcus. He didn't care that she was older, he just wanted her. Ainsley was extremely embarrassed because seh had thought that Marcus was someone and something entirely different. When she realized who he was it just made her that much more embarrassed. I was glad that Marcus was game for a little role play for Ainsley, and I was very happy with they way things were at the end of the book. Kate always does such a great job with her characters and story lines. She's never disappointed me yet, and I'll keep reading her work as long as I can.

Yummy, Yum, Yum!! Great storyline... about time we get more books written about an older woman and a younger man!
They meet by mistake or a twist of Fate. The chemistry is undeniable. The sex... well let's just say that Kate Deveaux understands it and knows how to write it. YUM!
One complaint... IT WAS TOO SHORT! Just when it started "getting good", the story ends. PLEASE, write a sequel, expand on this, I want to know if they can make it together!

I ask, what are the possibilities of success in a relationship between a 45 year old woman and a 28 year old male? I sure wish there is hope for them! Loved this story.

A envelope that comes with our name written on it. We can just stare at that envelope for hours on end and just imagine what contents await inside for us. It could be anything our hearts desire from a simple love note to a ticket to a far off land that we didn’t know we had won but just imagining the possibilities that great expectations lie within. Ainsley decides to treat herself to a night of passion...with an agency specialising in this sort of thing. Actually pressing send was the hardest part. Now all she has to do is wait. Marcus is asked to drop off tickets on his way home. He doesn't usually, but its on his way home, and won't take two minutes. Knocking on Ainsley's door before her expected guest has him pulled into a night of unbridled sex he'll never forget.
OH!! So many short books recently! 100 pages, just under an hour reading time for me, but this little beauty packs a punch! Its not often we get an older female lead with a younger man, its mostly the other way round or similar ages, but here, Ainsley is 17 years oldewr than Marcus, and Marcus loves all her curves, and wrinkles! Also, there is a decent enough story line, Marcus's wife died, Ainsley's divorce, and that lovely Auntie Dot who made me smile.
Delicious, is how I'd best describe it, a perfect hangover cure.

Those looking for a quick read to bring a smile to their face and a blush to their cheeks will get just that with Platinum Pleasures. As a woman in her forties I was drawn to the older woman/younger man theme and the emotional doubts both of them experienced. By the time the final page was turned I was completely won over by the perfect balance of witty banter and steamy yet playful sexual interludes nicely spaced throughout the story wishing I hadn't reached the end.
After being cruelly dumped, with her money and pride taken by her ex, Ainsley didn't want to spend Valentine's Day wallowing in pity. Her treat to herself is a steamy night where the man of her dreams fulfills all her sexual fantasies. The man who shows up appears confused at first but quickly gives her a night to remember, a night where she sees her body as perfect. For one night she's free to be the woman she's always wanted to be, one who's confident and commanding. In the harsh light of day though, when it's discovered that her dream man isn't who she thought he was, her doubts come crashing back in and have her shoving him out the door. He's not the kind of man to give up easily and is soon back waging an emotional war to win her heart. I liked Ainsley immensely and could easily relate to her self-doubts. She was a strong-willed woman who was blindsided by her ex but quickly picked herself up and jumped wholeheartedly back into life in a very memorable way. I enjoyed her ability to give as good as she got which made the verbal banter between her and mystery man Marcus more entertaining.
Marcus is going through his own emotional turmoil as his wife died on Valentine's Day which has him dreading the evening ahead. He's closed himself off to emotional ties as the feelings she engendered in him are difficult to equal. He doesn't want to be left alone again. When he's set-up on an errand by his very caring secretary to deliver a package, he's pleasantly surprised by how things turn out. He's become bored with the women he's been meeting until he greets Ainsley in her very sexy pjs. He senses something different about her, she's someone who's real and who wants him only for himself. He's intrigued by her dichotomy of sexy siren and shy vixen and though she kicks him out the next day, he wants nothing more than to stay. He's not a man who loses and will do whatever it takes to convince her that age, and any of her other self-doubts, means nothing to him and that the connection they have is undeniable. Marcus is immensely charming and sexy, he's playful yet intense in bed and Ainsley is a great match. He's a man who's confident too and knows exactly what he wants which makes him go after Ainsley with intensity. He knows that life is too short to give up on happiness when you find it and will do whatever necessary to get her to see that too.
This was an immensely satisfying story with witty banter, intense verbal foreplay, and sweet yet sensual and erotic interludes. Though we don't get a lot of background on these two people I still felt a connection to them as they're likable and their emotional pain a great connecter. The flow of the story kept me fully immersed from start to finish, captivated by its sensual haze, and once again shows off Ms. Deveaux's talent for crafting great reads in small packages!

She gets a lot more then she bargained for when Mr. R. walks into her condo. After an extremely sexy night, it comes to light that there has been a case of mistaken identity, and Mr. R. is not who she thought he was.
Ainsley was looking for something outside of the box of what her sex life had consisted of, and that is exactly what she gets during this one night of passion.
Marcus is the CEO of Platinum Pleasures, who arranges experiences for their clients and caters to the rich and famous. When a delivery to a client needs to be done at last minute, he brings the envelope with him on his way home. When the receiver of a luxurious trip answers the door in barely anything at all, things will stir within him and he gives Ainsley what she needs and what he has been yearning for.

I had fun reading about this fantasy come to life. The characters have their emotional backgrounds explained before the sexy times begin so they felt more real and nice that just an excuse for a sexy bedroom story. That's a good point.
Nothing can be easy if it's worth it so doubts and fears rear their ugly head at the harsh crack of dawn when Ainsley realizes her mistake. I liked the fact that the characters' ages were vastly different, he's so much younger than she is. It gives an edge to their possible relationship.
While they're separated, they both reminisce about their night together and that was as tingling as the actual encounter. I also liked that he pursued her with an obvious interest and that he had a past that made him aware of how important it was to have someone meaningful by his side.
Luxurious gifts, achingly hot intimacy, and cute characters make a very entertaining novella, though the ending was a bit too abrupt for my taste.

I thought this was a cute story about Ainsley, a woman in her mid-40s, and her decision to indulge in a night of sexual pleasure with a fantasy lover from an online website. The chemistry between Ainsley and Mr. R is electric right from the start. Both Ainsley and Mr. R have had their share of heartbreak, but after spending the night together, Mr. R has finally met the woman who is capable of making him want to pursue a romantic relationship for the first time in over 2 years. And while Ainsley is really into Mr. R, she definitely still has her reservations about pursuing a relationship, since it hasn't been that long since her previous relationship ended when her guy ran off with a younger woman.
I liked this story overall, but there were a few times in the book where Ainsley would think unkind thoughts about her ex, and the phrases she used sounded like something out of a Victorian-era novel (that scheming cad!). Who says stuff like that? I also liked that Mr. R knows that he wants to be with Ainsley, regardless of their age difference (but I am refusing to call her a cougar. I hate that term).

Wow...... This was very short, sweet, and to the freakin point.
It was such a pleasant surprise that Ainsley is the "older" woman. It's about time we get more stories for us older women who are less than perfect. Such a change of pace and she gets the hotter younger guy (and didn't have to pay for it).
Marcus is definitely that guy that can knock your socks off. He was caught off guard and decided to play the hand dealt to him. Who wouldn't appreciate an older woman who opens the door and offers herself to them? I can guarantee most me would not pass that opportunity up. The only difference is that Marcus took it above and beyond the call of duty. This was just as much about his recovery as it was for Ainsley.
I about died when she let him leave. I was screaming at my nook asking her what the hell she was thinking. You get a guy like that you lock him up and throw away the key and keep him all to yourself.

The setup was kind of awkward and utterly clumsy- a case of mistaken identity when Ainsley thinks Marcus is her boytoy for the evening. You could tell even the author was having trouble making this happen even though this was the setup. And typically of these stories, the female character is smoking hot yet continues having issues until the hunk shows up. Like I said- typical.
The only real gripe here is the lack of attention given to the sex. For an erotic read, it was focused more on the buildup and foreplay than the deed itself. The anal scenes were over so quick if you blinked you missed them. Still, it was pretty steamy and entertaining. It's worth your while.

Platinum Pleasures was a quick and steamy read.
Ainsley Simmons has order a night of wild passion, but what she doesn’t count on is the wrong man showing up at her door. When she opens the door all beats are off and she will live out her fantasy, if just for one night.
This book was scorching hot, and I do mean scorching, but it also had a sweet story to it after all the great sex was had. If you just want a quickie (lol) this book is the one for you.

This was a short, quick and very steamy read!
The two main characters, Ainsley and Marcus, have they own troubled past and by mistake they found each other on Valentine's night, and they're instantly attracted, they chemistry is really intense.
The sex scenes are very graphic but tastefully written.
I enjoyed reading this story, so much!
So, if you're alone on Valentine's day, grab a cup of coffee or a glass a wine, put your comfy PJ's and Happy Reading!!
