McBusted in Bournemouth! (Victoria Chapman)

This Thursday I trotted off to Bournemouth to go and see McBusted with my friends Steph and Steph. We’ve been looking forward to this for a long time! As die hard Busted fans back in the day, we moved onto McFly when they split up. So when they joined forces to make the best ever superband, we were pretty excited!

We met up a bit earlier so we could have a bite to eat first. The only place that could fit us in without a booking was Chimichanga’s….

…although they still made us wait about 45 minutes for our table. They said at first it was only going to be a 20 minute wait, so we were starting to panic a bit when it took that long. But they were super quick with the food and didn’t charge us for our first bottle of wine (which makes it sound like we had loads of bottles, which really wasn’t the case – only two!).

We shared the chilli beef nachos to start, then we all had the pulled pork burrito. Delicious!

After dinner we rushed over to The BIC, got bevvied up (Smirnoff Ices – so we could pretend we were 20 again, which was about the average age of people there!).

They came on about 9pm with a bang!

It was such a great show, although not as long as I thought it would be, considering they had two bands-worth of songs to do. But it was still awesome!

We left the main arena and took a seat whilst we waited for the crowds to filter through. Steph used this time to hone her perfect McBusted jump – she did a pretty good job!

However, what we should have actually been doing is either walking or getting a taxi to the train station. After about 10 minutes of sitting around nattering, we thought it would be a good idea to find out what time the last train left… in 20 minutes was the answer! By now the roads were chocka, so we had no choice but to powerwalk/run the mile and a half there (in the rain)!

Luckily we made it (literally by the skin of our teeth!).
