Three days and counting.
The Giants will report to training camp on Thursday, officially beginning the 2016 season and opening the Ben McAdoo era.
Over the past few days, we have been previewing each Giants position group, one by one. Follow the links below for each preview that has been published so far; additional previews will be added when completed.
2016 GIANTS POSITIONAL PREVIEWS:
* Quarterback: Eli Manning is entering his third season in Ben McAdoo's offense after putting together two of the best statistical seasons of his career. What level can he take his game to this season? PREVIEW
* Running back: Rashad Jennings should be the featured back in 2016, but what can Paul Perkins do as a rookie? And will Andre Williams make the team? PREVIEW
* Offensive line: The Giants will enter training camp with the same starting offensive line they exited the offseason program with. But will it stay that way? PREVIEW
* Wide receiver: Can Victor Cruz make it all the way back? Everyone wants to know, and he and the Giants will start to get the answer once training camp opens. PREVIEW
* Tight end: The Giants do not have much experience at tight end, but they have several young, promising players they are high on, led by Will Tye. PREVIEW
* Defensive tackle: With the addition of Damon Harrison and the return of Johnathan Hankins, this could be one of the Giants' best position groups. It's also a very big year for Hankins. PREVIEW
* Defensive end: Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon will take the lead in trying to jumpstart what was a punchless pass rush a season ago. But the Giants will need more than two stars. PREVIEW
* Linebacker: After struggling mightily at the position last season, the Giants have assembled a veteran-heavy linebackers group this year. But which three players will grab the starting jobs? PREVIEW
* Cornerback: One of the Giants' strongest position groups. What should the expectation level for first-round pick Eli Apple be? PREVIEW
* Safety: The Giants know Landon Collins will be one of their starting safeties. But the other job will be wide open and contested in what should be a multi-man training camp battle. PREVIEW
* Special teams: The Giants' special teams were a strength in 2015, and they enter 2016 with all the key figures back in place. PREVIEW
