Snowy Peaks is the perfect place to do a wine-tasting, and even take a bottle with you. Elkins is the only distillery making whisky in town, but the Stanley Hotel has a world-renowned whiskey bar and Dancing Pines has a tasting room in Estes.
Exploring History
When rain is in the future, take shelter in the past. The Estes Park Museum provides an immersive educational experience for all ages. Take a close look at a real 1909 model EX Stanley Steamer Runabout. Sit by a crackling campfire and hear Stories Under the Stars told by Estes Park’s past pioneers. Next take a tour of the cabin that the Father of Rocky Mountain National Park, Enos Mills, used to call home. Discover the many achievements of Enos and educate yourself on his impact on our mountain village. Learn about the past while staying dry in the future!

Treat Your Sweet Tooth
If it’s sugar you crave, Estes Park has treats galore to satisfy! From crunchy caramel corn, to buttery fudge made on sight in many confectioneries, this isn’t just a feast for your taste buds but for your eyes. Waltz down Elkhorn Avenue and become mesmerized by the sight of taffy being pulled by machines of the olden days. Swoop in for a scoop of homemade natural ice cream of every flavor or stop in for a swirl of soft-serve. Don’t forget to grab a caramel apple for the stroll!
Climbing
Estes Park is home to world class climbing outdoors, but you can climb indoors as well. Test your skills at the Estes Park Mountain Shop's indoor climbing wall. Kids from 2 to 72 are encouraged to try the climbing and bouldering walls.

Stop by the YMCA of the Rockies Administration or Program Building and get your Day Pass wristband to enjoy an all-access pass to YMCA activities. Is Ping-Pong your game? Check out the game room filled with old and new games for the whole family. The indoor pool and Basketball/ Volleyball gym are a great way to release energy on a rainy day. Or get in touch with your creative side at the Craft & Design center.

For over 40 years, the Original Lazy B called Estes Park it’s home and now the cowboys ride again! Mosey on over partner for cowboy music and laughs and don’t forget an authentic cowboy spread for supper.
