Day to day, Ffotogallery is run by a small team, so volunteers play an important part in helping us make what we do possible!

The current positions we have available are:

Exhibition Invigilation Assistant
Help to create a welcoming environment in the gallery for all.

• Help the front of house operations to run smoothly for visitors
• Discuss the current exhibition with visitors, answering any questions they may have
• Keeping the front of house space tidy and clean
• Collect any visitor feedback
• Using the point of sale system for book sales

Install Assistant
Work alongside the Ffotogallery team to hang an exhibition in the gallery!

• Keep the gallery tidy at all times
• Assist with hanging work on the wall
• Complete last minute paint touch ups
• Help unpack work safely

Event Assistant
Support our staff to run gallery-based events that tie in with the current exhibition.

• Set up the space for the event
• Check tickets on the door
• Help the front of house operations to run smoothly for visitors
• Serve refreshments from the reception space

Workshop Assistant
Coordinate workshops for community or educational groups with our Engagement & Learning manager.

• Help set up the space for a workshop session
• Demonstrate and actively engage with the session activity
• Chat with attendees
• Distribute and collect photograph permission forms where appropriate
• Work at our gallery space or off site
