1 Dead In New Castle County Triple Shooting

NEWARK, Del., (CBS) -- One person is dead following a triple shooting in New Castle County, Delaware Tuesday night.

Shortly before 6 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to Foxwood Apartments in the unit block of Harlech Hall for a burglary in progress.

Prior to their arrival, officers learned witnesses had called 911 to report the incident as a shooting.

According to police, three people were found with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Police say one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to the Christiana Hospital.  Their conditions are unknown at this time.

So far, no arrests have been made.  A motive is unclear.

An investigation is ongoing.
