Standoff with police ends peacefully Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A standoff with Philadelphia Police has ended peacefully in Kensington.

Police say it began at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, when a man barricaded himself in a house in the 2500 block of Mascher Street.

There was no immediate word why the man locked himself inside.

SWAT teams and negotiators were called the scene.

After an hour and a half, the man was taken into police custody.

No one was injured.
