NORRISTOWN – Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred on the 600 block of Astor Street at approximately 1:15 p.m. Monday.
According to police, a verbal argument between a stepfather and stepson escalated into a physical argument; afterwhich, the stepson fired one round, striking his stepfather in the upper torso causing a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was flown by helicopter to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania for treatment. The suspect is in police custody.
Police have interviewed a family member as a witness.
The names of the individuals involved have not been released at this stage of the investigation.
