Trenton man found dead in park was due in court this week on weapons charges

TRENTON – The man found dead this morning in Spring Street Park was due in court Friday for sentencing on weapons charges.

Amir Hassan Glover, 24, of Trenton, has been identified by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office as the man found shot to death in Spring Street Park.

Glover pleaded guilty in March to weapons charges from March 2013, according to court records.

Police were notified of a body in the park before 9 a.m. today and found it under a small tree. It was unclear when the murder took place. The small Spring Street Park backs up to an auto-repair shop and the Candlelight bar on Passaic Street.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is leading the investigation.
