Storms cause road problems in Shelby county

Overnight storms caused damage to trees and power lines in Shelby county, blocking roads in 3 areas.

Alabama Power is on the scene of Hwy 25 between County Road 55 and Hwy 5.

Old Highway 280 between Mountain Crest and Oak Tree Drive also has damage, and could be blocked for an extended period of time.

The County Highway Department is on the scene at Westover Road and Chow Drive to clean up storm damage.
