Health and Medicine Editor of The Conversation, Clint Witchall, will deliver a Writing for a Public Audience workshop.

Held in the Gound floor seminar room of the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute, the workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn how to get your ideas to the wider public.

The session will begin with an overview of The Conversation; what it is, its aims and objectives, and why you should write for it. It will then cover how to write; tips on style, tone and structure, and finding the news value.

There will be a demonstration of The Conversation’s writer’s portal and how the editors work with potential writers.

Finally there will be exercises and the chance to develop your own article.

A How to Prepare PDF will be issued to attendees in advance helping you to make the best use of the workshop.

A workshop will also be held on Tuesday in the main site's Lanyon Building.
