Disability golf given backing of professionals

Ryder Cup vice-captain Des Smyth and Mark James are among professionals to play a round at Stoke-by-Nayland with disabled golfers.

The Senior PGA Championship comes to the Suffolk club this week,, external and tournament organisers hope it will raise awareness of blind and disabled golf.

Senior tour professional Paul Wesselingh even has an attempt at a one-legged drive.

There are hopes that disabled golf can become a Paralympic sport in the future.
