How to Re-Energize Your Life

If you are a human on planet Earth, you are probably spending a lot of time and energy on things that aren’t serving you well. Things like:

  • Habits that do not contribute to your overall well-being
  • Using out of date products or processes that are less effective
  • Getting stuck in negative thinking or feeling like a victim
  • Watching TV or playing games for hours at a time
  • Collecting clutter or letting your house go
  • Doing the same things over and over again, hoping for different results
  • Choosing entertainment that contains violence, murder, or hatred
  • Belonging to groups or hanging on to people that are no longer a good fit

What are your time and energy wasters? Here is how to find out:

List the things you spend your time on. Be very thorough and honest with yourself.

Now, go through the list and ask yourself these two questions:

  1. Is this working?
  2. Do I want to keep it, refine it, or let it go?

You might be surprised how much time and energy you can free up by shifting from things that do not work to others that are more supportive, meaningful, or valuable for your life. You might also be surprised how great it makes you feel!

Great indicators to help readers identify what works and what doesn’t. So often we go through life without feeling, we just become numb from it all. Thanks for the share!

It’s funny, ever since I realized I was in a career that was no longer serving me, I have a different view on life. I no longer do anything I don’t want to do. As for needing to declutter my house, that’s another story…

Maybe that is because a part of you doesn’t want to declutter. We often have competing desires. One could be to clean the clutter. And, the other could be not wanting to have to do the work. That can make it challenging when you only want to do what you want. But, of course, you still get to choose.

Some good reminders on here. I am very much a believer in making the most in life, but it easy for all of us to get caught up in the day to day grind.

These are great tips. I’ve been asking myself those two questions at the end of your post the last few weeks, and it’s definitely helping me replace some bad habits with new, healthier ones!
