Green has been CARH's color of choice for many years, and now we are able to make our newsletter green to match! With the retirement of our paper newsletter, CARH is able to save costs on postage and production, and spend it on programs for our clients. Not only that, but as we expand our digital footprint, we will be able to spread the story of CARH and its clients to a whole new generation of supporters.

CARH, which now stands for Care, Advancement, Respect, and Hope, was formed in 1972 with a mission to enrich the lives of adults and children with intellectual disabilities in the greater Bay Area. Since day one, CARH has raised vital funds for its community programs by collecting generous donations of clothing and housewares from local households, then marketing the goods for sustainable resale and recycling uses. For over 40 years, CARH has been funding our programs through generous donations of clothing and household goods. Sadly, the last few years has brought many competitors to the Donation Pickup business, and CARH has been forced to limit its donation program mainly to Alameda and Contra Costa counties. No longer!
