This friendly pup might be the world’s cutest speech therapist.

Alzheimer’s disease has robbed Charles Sasser of most of his vocabulary. His daughter, Lisa Abeyta, told ABC News the Korean War veteran has gradually stopped speaking over the past six months.

But all of that changes, briefly, when he’s with the family dog.

Abeyta took this heartwarming video of her dad petting the pooch, Roscoe. Sasser finds his voice for a rare moment and affectionately tells the dog, “Why don’t I take care? I’ll take you, and you take me.”
