We are living in a time when our organizations are faced with
increasing; complexity, speed of change, challenges,
differences in demographics, demands for our attention, and
distractions.
As Rotarians and leaders in all organizations around the
world, we must make the most effective use of our human
resources, time and money.
Why:
Work is challenging. Volunteer work is challenging. Life is
challenging. And getting more complex every week.
Yet, we expect to be more productive and successful each day.
We know that we can achieve far more, far more effectively
and efficiently when we work together well.
But how do we do that?
1. To inspire participants to more successfully engage teams
and capture opportunities
2. To understand the 10 Essential Steps to Collaboration and
incorporate them into participants’ Rotary projects and
professional and personal lives.
3. Participants will learn how to design their projects, teams,
resources and assessments to create an evolving culture
that attracts people, resources and communities.

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of
service as a worthy enterprise, and to encourage and foster:
1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service
2. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the
worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s
occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
3. The application of the idea of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and
community life;
4. The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace through
a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of
service.

• “I was attracted to Rotary as they have immense power globally in the multiplication of
manpower and finance. However, it seems to me that many in the Rotary act ‘as their own
boss’… Their appears to be resistance to change from some members and this may not
allow for changes that may need to happen to adopt the next generation of Rotarians—and
I think this needs to be a priority.”
• “Often small, passionate groups of people band together and charge ahead but the balance
of the club could be left behind. The problem is always the passionate few doing the heavy

  • 2. We are living in a time when our organizations are faced with increasing; complexity, speed of change, challenges, differences in demographics, demands for our attention, and distractions. As Rotarians and leaders in all organizations around the world, we must make the most effective use of our human resources, time and money. Why:

  • 4. Work is challenging. Volunteer work is challenging. Life is challenging. And getting more complex every week. Yet, we expect to be more productive and successful each day. We know that we can achieve far more, far more effectively and efficiently when we work together well. But how do we do that?
  • 5. 1. To inspire participants to more successfully engage teams and capture opportunities 2. To understand the 10 Essential Steps to Collaboration and incorporate them into participants’ Rotary projects and professional and personal lives. 3. Participants will learn how to design their projects, teams, resources and assessments to create an evolving culture that attracts people, resources and communities.   • 8. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a worthy enterprise, and to encourage and foster: 1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service 2. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society; 3. The application of the idea of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life; 4. The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
