A man is in critical condition after a drive-by shooting in Philadelphia?s Point Breeze section.

POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- A man is in critical condition after a drive-by shooting in Philadelphia's Point Breeze section.

The shooting occurred around 12:45 a.m. Sunday at 17th and Ellsworth streets.

Police say a car with a female driver and male passenger was at a stop sign when another vehicle pulled up alongside.

The driver of the second vehicle got out and opened fired, hitting the male passenger in the first car at least two times.

The shooter then got back in his car and fled the scene.

The female driver also sped off, reportedly on her way to the hospital, but was pulled over by police on 26th Street.

The wounded man was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition.

Police are investigating and reviewing security cameras in the area.
