Thank you to all those who Participated in MWCC's Spring Training!
Twenty five watershed stakeholders gathered at Canyon Ferry Lake, this past week, to receive training in project design and effectiveness. The training gave folks the opportunity to delve deeper into monitoring goals and objectives, build new partnerships, and even have a little fun. Thanks again to all our partners, instructors and attendees!

NEWS
Flathead Lake monitoring station in jeopardy as funds dry up
The University of Montana's Flathead Lake biological station has an ongoing monitoring project which supplies data to many regulatory agencies. The funds for this water quality monitoring are drying up due to reductions in state and federal resources and increasing competition for grants.
Mountain snows will swell streams in N. Rockies
According to the National Interagency Fire Center, the delay in snow melt could stave off the fire season into later summer months. While the fire season will be later than usual for 2014, flooding is expected to be widespread, particularly in the Smith, Judith, and Musselshel River
basins of Montana.
