GREENSBORO, NC (WBTV) - A former Kannapolis police officer and his wife have been sentenced for their involvement with child pornography, according to the US Attorney's Office involved with the case.

We first told you about Steven and Tracy Webb over the summer, when they were arrested by the FBI. Each was charged with receiving, possessing and distributing child pornography and making false statements.

Steven Webb served with the Kannapolis Police Department starting in 2008. He was fired at the end of July.

The FBI said while downloading videos during an investigation, they uncovered an eight minute video of a child engaged in a sexual act with an adult. The video was on a hard drive that belonged to the Webbs.

A criminal complaint stated Tracy Webb lied to an investigator about being recorded having sex with minors. The same complaint stated Steven Webb was also accused of sexually abusing minors.
