The young royal rode in a carriage with the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry. She wore the same white Alexander McQueen coat that she donned for Princess Charlotte’s christening. She topped the ensemble with a pink Philip Treacy hat.
The ceremonial parade runs from Buckingham Palace along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade and Whitehall.
Later that day, Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined their royal family on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace. The youngest royal who was carried by the duchess, wore a pink dress and waved to the crowd along with her elder brother Prince George who will turn three next month. While the duchess is known for recycling looks, the toddler followed suit and was dressed in a peter pan collar shirt with blue shorts — the same outfit as his father wore to Prince Harry’s christening.
The birthday festivities for the Royal monarch will continue on Sunday with a picnic that will take place on The Mall and in Green Park. On Friday, Buckingham Palace released a new portrait of Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.
