Cops: Riverhead woman caught with suspended license, marijuana

A 25-year-old Riverhead woman with a suspended license was one of two people arrested on drug charges after Southampton Town police pulled over the car she was driving in Riverside Tuesday, police said. 

Alicia M. Booker was found in possession of marijuana and police charged her with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Police stopped Ms. Booker for a traffic infraction at about 5:56 p.m. Tuesday on Peconic Avenue, police said. A passenger, Kotarra S. Jackson, 31, of Mastic was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and PCP, police said.

Ms. Jackson was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Ms. Booker was released at the scene on an appearance ticket. Ms. Jackson was transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment, police said.
