ReMix This: A Copyright Cabaret! May 16
Fresh Media events are where media innovators and social change makers mix up a concoction of social-change media awesomeness.
This Thursday, we’re talking about copyright.
TOPIC//
Copyright is a legal concept that affects our everyday production and access to media. Copyright is necessary to protect the interests and original works of artists and other content creators. It also has the ability to be excessive and restrictive to creative innovation. This multi-media event allows the community to engage in meaningful discussion about how to rethink copyright so that it fosters a culture of remixing, participation and sharing.
