The man wanted for the murder of a Jacobs Hostel resident turned himself in to Brighton Beach police.

THE Jacobs Hostel resident wanted for the murder of another resident turned himself over to Brighton Beach SAP on Thursday, 17 April.

Khulegani Mvubu (35) was stabbed to death by the man after an argument about a woman. After discovering the identity of the killer, police contacted him and urged him to turn himself in, which he did, four days after the incident.

The 29-year-old was charged with murder and will appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday, 22 April where police are expected to oppose bail.

“We cannot accept that in this day and age a man’s life can be taken over such trivial disagreement,” said KZN provincial commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni, as she commended Brighton Beach SAP for their diligence.
