Manager of Corporate Relations

The Ohio Society of CPAs

The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA), a leading association of 21,000 CPAs and accounting professionals, seeks a Manager of Corporate Relations to join its new member outreach team. The successful professional will develop and manage a new customer relationship model for a targeted segment of OSCPA members. The successful candidate will:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with CPAs working in Ohio’s corporations and businesses to drive membership growth and use of OSCPA products and services
  • Develop and coordinate CRM activities to better understand CPAs’ challenges and identify possible solutions for their business and professional needs
  • Manage an ongoing program of in-person visits with CPAs to gain a thorough understanding of the market dynamics in which they operate
  • Work with OSCPA business teams to identify products and resources that can assist CPAs in meeting business challenges
  • Grow awareness and demand for OSCPA benefits, affinity programs and professional development opportunities
  • Assist in identifying future leaders for association volunteer positions as well as recruit potential authors and niche experts for member learning and resource programs
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to enhance communications to corporate members for OSCPA programs and benefits
  • Assist in the training and development of OSCPA staff to build their knowledge about OSCPA’s corporate member segment
  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive sales and relationship management system to manage prospecting, track sales efforts and measure results against targeted business and revenue goals
  • Attend OSCPA education and other professional events for business development opportunities
  • Assist in budget planning and revenue and expense tracking

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a relevant degree from an accredited university

Requirements:

  • 8 years’ experience in a strategic business relationship building position or sales/service setting; association background or knowledge of association environment is desirable
  • Proven ability to create and grow successful business relationships and execute customer relationship management strategies that meet business objectives and revenue goals
  • Excellent relationship building skills and experience collaborating effectively with outside organizations and association leadership through face-to-face and other communications
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, listening and communications skills
  • Strong understanding of marketing and business dynamics
  • Creative problem solving and analytical thinking combined with the ability to advise and effectively collaborate with business owners at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge and proficiency in current Windows operating systems, current Microsoft Office products, and general knowledge of customer database applications
  • Regular travel within Ohio required; some travel outside of Ohio possible
