Chadwick Boseman is raking in awards in Hollywood. The late actor’s wife, Simone Ledward Boseman, accepted his 2021 Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for his performance in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”
“If you see the world unbalanced, be a crusader that pushes heavily on the seesaw of the mind. That’s a quote by Chadwick Boseman,” Ledward Boseman said while accepting the award.
Since Boseman’s death last year from colon cancer, the actor has received a Golden Globe, an NAACP Award, a Gotham Award, and a Critics’ Choice Award. He became the first person to receive four nominations for a SAG Award in the same year.
Boseman received an Oscar nomination for his role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” The Oscars will air on Sunday, April 25.
