This article is more than 10 years old

A new Channel 4 series on adoption led to an outpouring of support for social work professionals

A new TV series, 15,000 Kids and Counting, started on Thursday night on Channel 4. The series follows those involved in the adoption process, from social workers to the birth parents, and sparked a big response on Twitter. The programme showed the difficult decisions social work professionals must make in adoption cases, and many watching admired the professionalism and compassion shown by the social workers featured. Here are some of our favourite tweets from the night.
