Nearly $1.4 Million Raised in One Day During GREAT GIVE

Boca Raton, FL – Nearly $1.4 million was raised in a single day by 6,908 donors for 375 local nonprofits during the 6th annual Great Give Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The 24-hour online fundraising event held on April 24 was hosted by United Way of Palm Beach County and United Way of Martin County.

Great Give was created to foster a spirit of giving from local businesses and residents, as well as demonstrate the collective effort it takes to strengthen our local nonprofits and better serve our community’s pressing needs – from ensuring our youth succeed in school and families have food on their tables, to protecting the environment and animals, and everything in between.

“The 6th annual Great Give Palm Beach and Martin Counties was a tremendous success and will have a far-reaching impact in our community to meet critical needs,” said Laurie George, President & CEO of United Way of Palm Beach County. “I am continually impressed by the significant amount of money raised for hundreds of nonprofits each year, but even more so by the generosity and collaboration from local businesses who care deeply about supporting nonprofits and those they serve.”

The Great Give final total includes the money raised through online donations on April 24, as well as additional matching funds raised by United Way of Palm Beach County to support the four Matching Minute opportunities and other cash and in-kind prizes donated by local businesses.

Great Give Sponsors include: TD Charitable Foundation; Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County; CBS12 News; The Chesterfield Hotel; Collective Water Resources; The Corradino Group; Disney World; First Bank of the Palm Beaches; Florida Power & Light; Hays Company; Hubbard Media; Iberia Bank; iHeartMedia; IT Solutions; Jeff & Gina Sabean; Modernizing Medicine; NCCI; Nonprofits First; Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium; Rosemary Square; RSM US, LLP; Sharp + Sweet; Shutts & Bowen; Tito’s Handmade Vodka; Tracey Benson Photography; and Venture X.
