The following is a statement from the Swiss National Team:
It is with deepest regret that the Swiss Squash National Team has to announce the death of the mother of our No.1 player Nicolas Mueller.
Bettina Mueller passed away this Friday morning after a long fight against illness. Our team leader Nici has therefore withdrawn from the World Team Championships and has flown home to be with his family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mueller family, Jack, Flurin and Nici. We wish them strength during this very difficult time.
The wonderful and warm personality of Bettina will be deeply missed in the Swiss Squash community.
