HOLY COW! This place has every kind of boot you could ever need. Not mention that they have tons of options for clothing and accessories as well. The staff helped me with all my question and were super nice. Really great prices for the name brands i love. I will be back!!!

gorgeous store, but they never have any boots in stock. I asked to try on six different pair, and each time was told they had none.

Awesome selection, nice staff, their new Skips branded boots are absolutely superb and if you're fortunate enough to work with Sam her customer service skills are phenomenal. Didn't buy at first cause I wanted to do some research but came back today because man the skips brand boots are just exceptional.

We usually come to this location for boots and hats and have always had good experiences. We went today to buy two hats. The lady who asked us if we needed help had an awful attitude and couldn't be bothered trying to help us and any questions we had were treated as a burden. We didn't make a fuss because we've always had good service at this location and this was a one time thing. Eventually she left and Jay came over to help us. He was so personable and knew what he was talking about. He didn't make us feel like a burden or that we were bothering him. He helped us pick out hats for an hour. We left with two nice felt hats and accessories for cleaning.

After ordering a found a pair of Luchese Burke Alligator boots from another company for $100 less. I asked for a refund for the difference and they refused. They have NO sense of business or long term relationships. They threw away my business for $100. I am going to buy more boots--different styles, etc but NOT from these people. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Russels has the EXACT Luchese Burke alligator boots for $100 LESS. Russels will get some of my business from now on.

Really wanted to love this place. Brought my friend to get his first pair of boots & the woman who assisted us was awful. She was more or less lying about the boots just to make a sale. She also was wearing an offensive political shirt which was wildly unprofessional.
We did go home with a great pair of boots after we got another gentleman to help us.

I came in looking to get some of my personal boots stretched. Immediately as I come in thru the doors I was greeted by Ashley. She tended to me and let me ask all of the questions a girl could have about bots, when she took matters into her own hands. I showed a picture of what I was looking for and she found a pair that I fell in love with immediately!! Ashley was beyond helpful and an all around amazing customer service rep for Skips! It's girls like her that make shopping a breeze!

Thanks Ashley! Can't wait to see how my boots turn out after being stretched!

Pros:
+1 Great selection for both variety of brands and range of products.
+1 Very fun "western town" environment to shop in.
+1 People there are very nice.

So why -3's?

Basically because of two things...
-1 Prices are on the high side of similar retail stores, and certainly higher than almost all online options, even direct from the manufacturers like Old Gringo.
-1 A HORRIBLE return policy that makes gift buying almost impossible. They will not return your money (cash or credit). They only issue store credit.

Summary: If you see something online that you wonder how it might fit or look like in person, Skip's would likely have it for you. If you don't care how much you spend, they'd be a good place to buy it at. If you aren't dead set certain that you'll love it when you get home, if the fit is right, if the wife likes it, or you're getting a gift for someone that is picky, fickle, or may already have one... you may want to go online.

So I went into the store was not greeted immediately but I did ask for help trying to find boots because they were trying to film a commercial and I did not want to interrupt the service was really good I was easily attended they were very understanding when I had to transfer money from one account to another even though it took about five minutes within about two weeks of me purchasing these boots I did find a little mark on them I called to see if I could return them but they are boots so they are going to get damaged so I did not go back into return them but I am highly satisfied

One of the female staff members was incredibly rude and deceptive. I purchased a pair of boots. It turned out that they were not what I needed. I went back 5 days later and tried to get a refund. They had not been used and I had the box that they came in and the receipt. She said that there were no refunds, only exchanges. They have a very limited selection, so there was nothing else for me to exchange it for. She was very snarky towards me. My husband went around the store, including the front door and no signs saying NO REFUNDS or anything to that effect. They had one 8 by 10 paper under the glass by the register, but she had conveniently covered it with the box that the boots came in before I got to the counter. She also failed to tell me that the sales were final. This is a very deceptive company and I will spread the word every where that I can.. Beware!!
