Butler's Elijah Brown to transfer

Men's College Basketball, Butler Bulldogs

INDIANAPOLIS -- Freshman guard Elijah Brown is transferring out of Butler's basketball program.

The son of Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown was one of the prized recruits in Butler's freshman recruiting class. The 6-foot-4 guard is the fourth Butler player to transfer since mid-February, following freshmen Nolan Berry and Rene Castro, and sophomore Devontae Morgan.

Coach Brandon Miller thanked Brown for his contributions while making the announcement Friday.

Neither Brown nor the Bulldogs indicated where Brown may land.

Brown averaged 6.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists last season, playing in 30 games. He was the Bulldogs' top free-throw shooter at 85.4 percent.
