After a day of rest as their time in New Zealand came to a close, the royal family pulled out all the stops today on their Down Under tour, as they arrived in Australia on Wednesday. The return of George! Kate in yellow! A Sydney Opera House photo op!

Yes, after becoming everyone’s iPhone background last week, when pictures of his play date hit the Internet, George re-emerged as the couple arrived in Sydney. Again, George wore an ensemble adorned with sailboats, which are becoming a trademark of sorts for him. (We imagine William, as Kate dressed George, accusing: “You’re just doing this to rub it in, aren’t you?” Kate: “Would you like me to dress him in a rugby outfit, William? Please.”). The outfit is reminiscent of one William wore in 1983, as seen in a photo with mother Diana taken in Kensington Palace.

The trio was met at Sydney Harbor by a crowd of “thousands” who received them with “deafening” cheers, according to the Daily Mail. (“It was like it was the Beatles,” one woman told the MailOnline.) Support for the monarchy is currently at an “all-time high” in Australia, with “only 42 percent surveyed in favor of a republic” (a Prince George photo op with a puppy would no doubt drive that number even lower).

Kate, arguably overshadowed by her young son in New Zealand, really brought it, wearing an extremely bright, yellow Roksanda Illincic dress. Again, her harshest critic seems to have been her husband, who really should think about applying to be a panelist on Joan Rivers’s Fashion Police at this point. “William said I look like a banana,” Kate told someone in the crowd as the couple arrived at the opera house. Really, William? You’re going to comment on her dress but not make a True Detective joke? (“Did they announce True Detective Season 2? Because it looks like we’ve got a Yellow Queen on our hands . . .”)
